  • Air Canada’s Premium Economy Cabin now available for Aeroplan Flight Rewards

    Aeroplan just announced that Aeroplan Members can now use their miles for the Premium Economy cabin on applicable Air Canada flights when booking both ClassicFlight and Market Fare Flight Rewards.

    Introduced in 2013, Air Canada’s Premium Economy is a new class of travel, where passengers can experience superior comfort in a dedicated cabin, with premium meal service, enhanced amenities and priority airport services.  Available on select routes, Premium Economy features a larger seat with more recline and extra legroom, giving passengers more space to stretch out and get comfortable.

  • Aeroplan Carrier Surcharge (YQ) Waiver On Flight Rewards For Air Canada Altitude Members

    Good news for Air Canada Altitude members!

    As part of the new Air Canada Altitude privileges effective March 1, 2015, the ClassicFlight Reward carrier surcharges (YQ only) will be waived for all Air Canada Altitude members for travel within Canada and between Canada and the U.S. This is applicable on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada rouge.

    Furthermore, the ClassicFlight Reward carrier surcharges (YQ only) will be waived for Air Canada Altitude Super Elite 100K members for travel between Canada and other international destinations. This is applicable on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada rouge.

    If you are an Air Canada Altitude member making an eligible ClassicFlight Reward booking which includes a child, please note that due to technical difficulties you may be charged the carrier YQ surcharge. However, you may complete your booking and the surcharge will be automatically refunded within 3 business days.   • Uber rewarding Starwood points to bookings

    I am excited that I am going to be using Uber on my next trip from the airport.

    Uber is partnering with hotel chain Starwood to give riders a bit more incentive to choose the ride-hailing service over a taxi.

    Uber passengers can now earn one Starwood rewards point for each dollar they spend on a ride in a car found through the San Francisco-based company’s mobile app. Guests spending the night at one of Starwood’s 1,200 hotels will earn two to four points per dollar spent, depending on their level of status with Stamford, Connecticut-based Starwood.

    This is the first global deal where ground transportation passengers can earn hotel points for trips.

    Here are some tips to remember:

    1. Your email address on your Starwood account must match the email address on your Uber account.

    3.
