I just finished an amazing 6-week trip with my family booked with Aeroplan to Sydney and 2 stopovers in New Zealand all for under $1,000 for my family of 4!
The flights would have cost nearly $8,500 if I used Google Flights.

Aeroplan just announced that Aeroplan Members can now use their miles for the Premium Economy cabin on applicable Air Canada flights when booking both ClassicFlight and Market Fare Flight Rewards.
Introduced in 2013, Air Canada’s Premium Economy is a new class of travel, where passengers can experience superior comfort in a dedicated cabin, with premium meal service, enhanced amenities and priority airport services. Available on select routes, Premium Economy features a larger seat with more recline and extra legroom, giving passengers more space to stretch out and get comfortable.
“We are excited to provide our members with even more choices when it comes to reward travel,” said John Boynton, Chief Marketing Officer, Canada, Aimia. “Travel continues to be the most popular reward option at Aeroplan. We’re listening to our members to ensure that Aeroplan offers better value to get members the flights they want, to the places they want to experience so that we remain the travel rewards program of choice for Canadians.”

Good news for Air Canada Altitude members!

Europe is the ultimate destination for many Canadians with their Aeroplan miles.
When you first try to put in a flight using Aeroplan, you may get a scare like this on a flight to London England to Heathrow!
It comes back with a fee of a whopping $670 dollars for a return flight – plus the Aeroplan miles!
This is madness – who would book a ticket when you can just go to Priceline or Air Canada and get the same price without using the miles?
The problem is that certain Star Alliance carriers like Air Canada charge brutal fuel surcharges (the $414 in the image above).
I have some hacks and solutions to get you to Europe for cheap and save some money!
